This Top Secret trip was another great success, with plenty of water skiing, sailing, whale watching and even some magnificent kayaking amongst a pod of dolphins! This is by far one of the great locations of our club trips. If you get the chance you should definately go to Big Woody!

Unfortunately the cold and wind prevented us from sailing this winter, so we opted to go for a big drive to Carnarvon Gorge in central Qld. With echidnas, platypus, cockatoos, and kangaroos by the bucket load it was a real Australian trip. We spoke to some locals and had a guided tour of the Aboriginal rock paintings from one of the locals. Well worth the big drive!

With only a week since the Big Woody trip we barely had time to think before we were back at it, flying hulls and exciting sailing was all the rage. We also got to get up close and personal with an echidna! Even minor toubles with the locals failed to put a dampener on such a fun trip.

What a great weekend. With the entire island booked only for us, we played hard and loud all day, every day, and for only $150 per person for the entire weekend, it was great value.

This was an exilerating trip. Our first trip involving actually sailing a large distance from Poona through to Awinya Creek via Moon Point! It was huge success with great weather and fun for everyone involved.

This was a great start to the semester with many new faces and some nice wind, we had a great day with BBQ lunch and lovely sunset!

Originally planned as a Lake Cootharaba trip, we ended up camping at Inskip Point. Despite the fact Cyclone Ului was bearing down on Central QLD, we were lucky to have great weather. This meant that there were less people around and we had a far more private camp.

WOW. This trip was a real blast! We had some of the most beautiful weather for sailing, and tubing etc, but also had Top Secret taking members on whale watching trips. The whales were spectacular!

This was a great trip, we all enjoyed plenty of fishing and sailing and relaxing on the beach. We then had fresh fish and chips for dinner. 2 club members even caught a 5' bull shark which we also shared around and enjoyed very much.

Fishing, Tubing, Sailing and Fire Dancing was heaps of fun this weekend, and even though we had security shutting down our parties during the night everyone remained in high spirits making this trip very enjoyable.

Despite a lack of sailing this trip also proved to be a major success. With trips to Double Island Point and a few members bushwalking through Carlo Sand Blow and Freshwater Lake we all had a great time.

35 people and no wind turned this trip into one of the most disorganised trips yet. Fortunately with a few beers and plenty of sun we managed to enjoy the weekend anyway.

These sail days made for some excellent experiences. With many of the members learning how to be capable skippers and riggers. Weather was mostly fine and atmosphere was great.

The winter months had obviously set in by this trip, with foggy mornings and everone actually wearing jumpers. Fortunately we had a camp fire and plenty of good company to keep us warm. Sailing was really nice with light winds during the days and lifting in the afternoons.

This was an awesome trip to a very remote beach on the north western beach of Fraser Island. Supporting us was Top Secret, a 10m power catamaran owned by a member's father. We enjoyed some very extreme sailing and some great times on our near-private beach.

Sydney Sailing Regatta April 09 involved the QUT sailing club taking 9 people, 2 cars and 5 boats down two Sydney for 3 days of racing. While in Sydney, we stayed at Cockatoo Island in the middle of Sydney harbour and raced at Rose Bay. It was the first time most of the club had raced and everyone learnt lots.

This trip to Poona was over the Easter weekend, and was meant to be 'training' for the Sydney Regatta. It also coincided with the Poona fishing competition which meant there was a lot of activity around.

This was a spur of the moment weekend camping trip to Inskip Point. We took 2 cats and the duck along which were used on the inside of Inskip Point. Unfortunately the weather wasn't perfect with qually wind and the odd rain showers.

The first trip for 2009 was great fun. A total of 25 people made it up, with 4 boats to use as well as the ski tube. Over the weekend the weather was perfect with sunny weather and resonable wind.

16 people, 4 cars and one awesome week. Although no sailing took place, the 7 days spent on Fraser Island was an experience no one will forget. With plenty of time, a day trip was taken every day from our base camp. This meant we had plenty of time to enjoy all the sights.
